If you listen to your your upline, sponsor, mentor whatever you want to call them they will have probably advised you that everyone you meet is a potential business prospect. This is known as the 3 foot rule and can be very frustrating and unrewarding for the new marketer. Putting a prospecting system in place to generate leads for you on auto pilot is much more rewarding.

 The other thing that your mentor will advise you to do is to make a list of everybody you know or have ever met and start contacting them. This can be very downhearting for the new internet or network marketer as you go by each name on the list and for some reason they are not swept up in the glory that you know your new online marketing program can deliver. You start to realize that after a while your friends and relatives are hesitant when you call as they think you are going to try and sell them on your program that they neither need nor want.

Wouldnt it be better to have a prospecting system in place to gather targeted leads for your business. To gather leads for your business you obviously want to try and start with potential business partners who actually may be interested in your type of business opportunity. Where to find these people, they can be found anywhere where there is a need for the average person to improve than lot in life.

Find people with a dream, people who want a little more and are willing to put in the hard yards. What you need to do to make any prospecting system work is to position yourself as a leader. People listen to leaders and are more than willing to take advice from them. This can mean writing a few articles or videos or even writing an ebook about your business opportunity and how it can improve their lifestyle with a little hard work.

There are many different ways to market yourself online as an expert even if you are new to the game. Finding the right prospecting system can be difficult as some will charge you a fortune for fancy software and other methods will be free but may take your time. Whichever way you choose to go, make sure you do your research and then follow through with it.

Dont just do it for three days and say I'm not rich now so it must not work give it a chance to work, be consistent. Give it a try for at least 30 days if you see no results by then move on to the next program or system until you find one that fits in perfectly with your personality.
